The past week has been full of temperatures below 20 degrees, causing ponds, lakes, rivers, and more to freeze, or at least partially freeze. Along the West Saville Docks, is the Great South Bay. A decent part of the bay was frozen, and the parts near docks specifically were a bluish shade and was coated in a thin layer of ice.
I went here in the 10 degree weather to watch the sunset and take a few pictures with my phone since my Nikon was still out of commission. So on the first day of the new year, I went out and watched the sunset and the rising of the super moon. It was a beautiful sight and a great way to start off the new year.
The pictures are in the gallery below.
